Pastor Kerwin Modest and First Lady Jennifer Modest began their ministry long before the doors of Kingdom of Light Ministry were opened.

Pastor Modest is a personal banker and has been on the board of New Directions Treatment Center for several years.

First Lady Jennifer Modest was named the Director of New Directions Center in July 2015, after serving as Assistant Director under Dr. Melvia Russell.

Both Pastor and First Lady have a deep passion for the broken hearted and want to see everyone succeed in life. Success is accomplished through the surrender to Jesus Christ. No matter who you are, what you have done. Christ loves you. HE LOVES YOU! and so do all of us at Kingdom of Light Ministry.  We welcome you any time!

What Really Matters

The most important thing is to know you are not alone

The church is a body of believers, uplifting, encouraging and edifying each other in the Lord Jesus Christ.

No one person can travel this world alone. We ALL need others who will love us just as Christ has done and instructed us to do.

You don't need to face the world on your own.

About Us

Would you like a worry free future?

While the Bible does not promise us a life of roses, no trials or problems, we can live a worry free life when you turn your cares over to the Lord. We will all face obstacles and we all have come from a life of sin.

However, Jesus Christ lived a blameless life, shed His blood upon the cross at Calvary, and willingly gave up His life in order that we may be set free and reconcile us to God our Father.

When you have accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior (turning away from your sin, allow Christ to be your guide and surrendering your life to Him), you have been given NEW LIFE.

In this new life, we have the ability to lay all of our worries and cares on Jesus. Giving our burdens, fears, troubles and failures to God allows us freedom to worship Him and life our life without all of the baggage of our past.

Trust in Jesus. Have faith in God. For He tells us in His word:
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
